Essentially, it's like living up a life with no means of production in a power plant. Similarly, in purposeful ways a purpose is what powers us to action to live up to our means in all aspects of life. In other words, choosing to refrain from living out your life with purpose is like setting yourself up to a far cry to live below your means.
